The Good-Good Golf Podcast

Hosted ByDerek Duncan, Adrian Logue & Rod Morri

Podcasting brought them together and now the Good Good Golf Podcast is the result. Hosts Derek Duncan, Adrian Logue and Rod Morri are all avid podcast producers and listeners and after admiring each other’s work from a distance for months they finally connected on an episode of the now defunct iSeekGolf Book Club. The loss of that show, however, cleared the way for the birth of Good-Good, a corner of the internet where golf nerds can shamelessly congregate to discuss everything from the nuances of a redan par-3 to whether local government has a responsibility to promote golf. Welcome to the golf podcast world’s most eclectic show!

Ep 137: Matt Mollica from the Rollback Alliance

There is still so much to digest from the Modified Local Rule announcement last week and this is as messy a discussion on the topic as you’re likely to find. Lots covered here though not in a particularly ordered fashion when Matt Mollica of the Rollback Alliance and Australian Golf Passport podcast joins the show to discuss all things distance.

Ep 136: At The Players With John Huggan

John Huggan is on the ground at Sawgrass where there is very little talk about the golf and almost endless chatter about the split at the top levels of the game. He joins the pod to discuss all things PGA Tour, LIV, DP World Tour and why he likes Francesco Molinari this week.

Ep 135: Course Design with Harley Kruse

It’s been too long since we had Harley Kruse in the studio talking all things architecture so on episode 135 we welcome him back. It starts with some chat about last week’s episode devoted to Full Swing then moves to golf in Asia and what’s happening at Royal Sydney and why it’s important.

Ep 134: Full Swing Spoiled for Choice

Everybody in golf is talking about the Netflix series Full Swing so we thought we should too. The bigger question, though, is whether anybody outside the game is taking notice.

Ep 133: The Man, The Myth, The Legend: Christian Hamilton on All Abilities Golf

Golf’s road to the Paralympics was dealt another setback last week when the IPC announced it was one of the sports not admitted into the 2028 Games in Los Angeles. Golf Australia’s Christian Hamilton has been one of the driving forces in global All Abilities Golf and joins the pod to talk about that decision plus the continuing growth of golf for people with disability.

Ep 132: Regional Golf – Off The Meaten Track

It’s not the sexiest topic in golf but it is one that has far reaching impacts and Golf NSW’s recent announcement about a programme of regional golf events supported by the state government over the next three years is a huge positive. Mark Hayes joins the pod to break down the announcement plus the broader impact of golf on regional Australia and, conversely, the impact of regional Australia on golf. There’s also a bit about Patrick Reed.

Ep 131: Golf and Indigenous Australia

Some listener feedback sparked this week’s episode when Glenn Chisolm, an aboriginal man from South Australia, got in touch to enquire if we had recorded any episodes specifically on the relationship between golf and indigenous Australia. The answer was no so we invited Glenn on to correct that state of affairs and it was a fascinating chat.

Ep 130: Golf Course Reviews By Women For Women

Rating and reviewing golf courses is nothing new but UK based online publication Women and Golf has given the old idea a twist with a new section devoted to reviews of courses by women for women. Editor Emma Ballard joins the pod to explain why the idea was needed and what she hopes it will achieve.

Ep 129: Aus Opens Special Take 2: James Sutherland Has His Say

There wasn’t universal agreement on some of the points raised in Episode 127’s lengthy post mortem of the mixed Australian Opens including from Golf Australia CEO James Sutherland. So, we welcome James to a specially convened episode of the pod today to talk all things Australian Open.
